 Post subject: First try at a new hobby

I have an IBC that I am going to use as my first attempt at aquaponics. I would like to do this in my basement so that I can harvest all year long rather than going out in the winter, something that my body rebels against. I already have an eco396 pump to use and have built a solar panel system to power everything with, not a greenie just another hobbie I got into. Has anyone else worked in the basement and what are the pros and cons. I am going to start very slowly with just gardening at first and then add fish in. Looking forward to the comments from those with experience. Thanks in advance.

Check IBC of aquaponics out! Lots of info. Also lighting in basement must be check. Must worn it's like a drug, ones on the take ........ GO FOR IT :thumbleft: :thumbright:

Got it up and running. Going through the cycling process. Planted 4 days ago and have little sprouts starting to peak out.
