My system is a basic flood and drain.

1500 litre tank with two 500L grow beds with blue drainage gravel.

It is just set up with plants and some feeder gold fish, halfway through the first cycle with some urea added and seasol.

Please any thoughts or suggestions would be much appreciated!

Planning to stock Murray Cod. located in Canberra ACT, does anyone have any experience with Murray Cod in cooler climates like Canberra?

Hi Eclipse, looks like you are off to a good start. The greenhouse will be sure to help with those cool temps that you get over there. Hold off on the urea if you've got fish in the system.
Do a search on the forum for Murray cod and look up the basic info to give you some more background on what they like. Welcome to the forum and be sure to keep those photos coming, :)

Thank you,

Will do, i will take some better photos tomorrow... I have had some problems with the greenhouse being too small height wise. its difficult finding suitable greenhouses which are not too expensive and have the height and width needed.

some of my concerns include:

Railway sleepers. are they unsuitable to use around Aquaponics? as i have two railway sleepers holding my vegetable beds up. worried about the possible toxicity?

Also... should i have separated my vegetable beds from my grow bed for ease of access to the fish, yet my reason for structuring the system this way was for the simplicity of a flood and drain.
