Is the polycarbonate good enough and strong enough to put on the roof, too?

They seem to be. I need to try to seal up the roof where the pieces overlap. It tends to leak a little when there is heavy rain. But they seem very strong. We've even had small hail with no effect.

I know nothing about GHs but would like to know more.... like
How hot will it get inside vs peak summer temperatures / cold vs winter temperatures?
Is there an air flow through the GH?

But it does look good!

Any updates? I'm literally a stone's throw away from you, and would love to come see your setup sometime.

Well, here is the current update:

The tilapia are doing great. I have several that are fairly large, although some are still relatively small. They seem to be breeding. I have added two 100gal tanks for use as nursery tanks.

The plants have been so-so. Earlier in the spring and summer, the plants did great. But the recent heatwave seems to be taking it's toll on them. During the winter we had very good success with different varieties of lettuce as well as tomatoes. With the summer heat, we still have tomatoes, also basil and green onions. All of those crops are doing fine. We have experimented with zucchini, peppers, sweet potatoes, and okra all with limited or no success.

Time constraints (and heat) have kept me from doing too much with the system this summer. I was really wanting to add some floating rafts outside. Right now we are kind of on "stable status". The system is still going fine, but there are several small things that need my attention.

You're more than welcome to come see our set-up. Send me a message and give you some details on where we are located.
