I forgot to get a shot of the 2 inch steel rails welded on the edges of the cage but you get the idea

I also have 6 old foam trampoline safety pads which are about 1m long and about 25cm wide so I am considering attaching them to the outside of the cage before the shadecloth as insulation against the sun. This shot was taken around 11am so the tank will get sun until early afternoon and will need protection.

Went and bought a trailer of scoria for the media, and I'm currently washing it. The trailer bottom is full of holes so I'm starting by giving it a good soak and rake in the trailer, then I have an old milk crate in the shed and a tub big enough to fit it in so hoping to use that as a washing method after the initial rinse.
