Ok well it's time to create my system thread. I've been up and running since May 27th. Added some free gold fish, large and small on June 1. The water tests were finally starting to zero out and now the last two days I've had low amounts of rite and ammonia. A few things still need to be added like my solids swirl filter and an above ground sump so I can change the gravel bed from CF to EbF. Thank you guys for all the knowledge and information over the past few months, it's been invaluable!

File comment: Raft beds, pretty simple. For those enquiring minds we did coat the wood prior to putting it on the ground.

Update:
Growth has been pretty stunted and the PH remains at 8.3-8.5. So it's been a few months and all the wishing in the world hasn't gotten the limestone out of the Pea Gravel so :support: I will remove and replace it today. Things you wish you would have ready before hand...

Sorry to hear about the gravel TJ.
The No2 and the No3 are they your nitrate and nitrite numbers?

What are you going to change the gravel for?

Looking good.

I'm currently looking into rock options. White quartzite..... looks to be the one so far. It's pretty expensive, but still cheaper the $2000.00 for Hydroton!
:laughing3:
