So, I was thinking of using a 100 gal rubbermaid stock tank as the fish tank, then a few (5?) of the same containers as JT's got in his outdoor system (basically same size as a half blue barrel), then another 100 gal stock tank as the sump. I found someone locally (3 houses away) that wants to get rid of their koi fish, but might try trout too. I don't know anything about them, except that they have already lived through a few Minnesota winters. I think I'm going to use lava rock (www.coloradolava.com) for 2 reasons. It's available at a local home store, and I have a nice sized credit check to spend there!

sounds Great....T Man...and those Kio are really worth taking...they are great poop machines, easy to care for, and keep the tank and pumps really clean. If you accidently kill your fish off, they are always the last to die, and from my own experience with kio, an all round brilliant fish.
