Umm the Tomatoes, I have a lot still on the vine, We have eaten a few but we don't think the others are going to ripen. The silver Perch aren't really enjoying the colder weather, not eating and hiding most of the time at the back of the tank. Seriously considering setting up a small aquarium in side over winter, and purchasing some trout, to keep the system running. anyone got some excess trout for sale in the perth metro area??
Post more photos next week.

Missed the last bit of this thread till now, but - I would say the Marron would not have died due to a temp of 27....I'd be more likely to blame big temp swings 17 - 27 in a 24 hour period.

What did the pH settle to?

Hi Everone, where back after the disaster of last years aquaponics crop/fish. We have regrouped, reevaluated our system and are ready to start again. So lets have an update....... first of all no silver perch this time, My wife has been slowly stocking the system with small koi for the last 6months, not so small anymore. We have decided to stock the other two smaller tanks with trout yearlings I guess that will be about april. I will also help my system along with a bit of pee ponics just don't tell anyone. Now Im about to start planting, thinking snow peas, cherry tomatoes (Might just have enough sun left), broccoli, cucumber and lettuce, any other suggestions. This years going to be the charm. cross my fingers no fluctuating PH.

Beetroot sounds interesting do they end up a bit deformed or just push the rocks out the way. I tried carrots last time they forked everywhere but still tasted great. Thanks for the tips faye.

Beetroot forms above the media, they are great because you can also eat the leaves in salads. There are lots of different types too like candystripe which has pink and white rings.

If you want something really quick try radishes. Nice to see you back here Clint.
