I've got my 150 gallon tilapia tank in my outdoor kitchen, which is a 12x24' portable building. Fully insulated and keep a little 1500 watt electric heater in there. The water is kept in the low 80's and you can see the steam on top of the water on cold days. The humidity in there is terrible because it is sealed up has the walls starting to mold with the black mold that I'm sure isn't good for you. If I had a large recirculating system in there the dampness would be like being in the amazon in august. And the mold count would skyrocket.
I definitely appreciate the input, just don't want to put any animials at risk without a greater level of confidence. I would get that from seeing a real system with animals in a wintertime climate. The micro culture thing and aquaponics don't quite mix with me as of yet.

That is motivational enough for me to put some warm clothes "coonass reboks" and start digging in the muck and put some forms up...Armadillo...hum better names could be muskrat, nutria, puddle duck, beaver...yea, I like beaver.... O well Texans out number coonasses and they like armadillo's
