Hmmm.
There are 10 or so still alive. Lost 50 exactly.
Got them from the southwest - Gavin or Troutman as he calls himself in this forum is the supplier. Best prices and great little fish with no others lost till now...
As you say Rick, I think the DO levels got too low...
:(
Gonna leave it at that for a while and re think a few features of the system and its opperation.
Will ad seasol for plants.

All air is supplied to the system by the water circulation.
It is probably more than enough with two 6000 litre pumps in there (one running 24/7) but none when the pumps are left off!
Also overflows are needed.

A good oportunity to refine this system (and get it right before building a bigger one!)...

Al

I have my air pump with battery backup running constantly. Since doing this my algae has diminished.

Yeah I will have to invest in some air injection before loading up with trout again...
How are your plants kicking along Rick?

The remaining fish are still alive
Getting a few things sorted out like fixing a leak in the bio filter.
Adding humonia to keep the nutrients up.
Been a dit depressed about it since I became a mass murderer overnight  poor fishes ...

On a positive note the ox heart tomatoes have been absolutely deliscious if not a bit slower to appear.
