There is a source in San Diego. Not cheap to ship, so you will probably want to breed your own, eventually.

There are several farms across TX but I haven't tried any of them yet. I have talked to nice people at Danbury http://www.danburyfishfarms.com/index.html because they are pretty close to me. Aug 15th is their next "Drive In And Pick Em Up" day to save the delivery cost. .45c for fingerling Tilapia there, no order too small.

Before that I was looking at http://www.dunnsfishfarm.com/delivery_methods.htm but again, I have not gotten fish from anyone yet.
Must be several good ones closer than SD CA... And they will all have Tilapia for a few more months...

I will be happy to provide mature biological material to help your system cycle when you're ready. We can meet at Buc-ee's or somewhere between us...

Still looking for a cheaper local-er Expanded Clay source or substitute. This is Texas, we're MADE of clay, dagnabbitt! :x

Of course you could just give one of your freindly Tx AP'ers a call and I bet they would be happy to get you some.

Seriously, pm me and I will be happy to help out, I am just south of you a ways and have way more than my share of Tilapia. I am going in competition with Chappo!!!

Well, ok, I don't have anywhere near that many, but for a home system, I have more than enough.

Mathew
