Hi Tony,

whats this about a course? You say that you will be covering plastic welding techniques in the course so that we could make the tanks like the ones you have shown here. I'm new to this game but would love to learn plastic welding so that i can make my own systems. Where and when Tony?

Hi Vegeman,

the course I was referring to is the 2 day course on Aquaponics that is being run at Challenger Tafe in Fremantle on June 27th and 28th. You will find more details in the Announcement Forum and also in the Portal section of this site.
We will get course participants to have a go at plastic welding to introduce them to the skills but if your wanting to do a specific plastic welding course we run these at our Henderson campus. As Rupert says plastic welding is also part of our aquaculture course
but at the Aquaponics course participants can see what can be made out of plastic such as grow beds and have a go themselves.

Rupert I will have to get back to you on that as John Darby installed the filter. From memory the water is flowing into a container of sand and he is replacing the sand every so often. I'll pop in tonight on the way home and have a look.
