Well I do not as yet have a 'system' as such but I have just been told the good news that I am now the worthy recipient of a IBC ... just waiting to be picked up from the local address.

Thanks for the tip Jaymie.

I have also been the recipient of a bucket full of gold fish. I am going to try and make a tiny continuous system out of this which can be for my daughter who seems to love the fish. They are residing in a black 40 litre bucket thing at the moment.

My current equipment stands at

2 x old bath tubs which will be the grow beds
1 x IBC ( to be collected tomorrow)

Now what I need is some info on what sort of pump to get and what sort of grow medium etc etc. I am thinking I might go down jaymies path and go for the gravel even though it is 'hurty' on the fingers.

Dave, screened river gravel (we got ours from McCahills) has smoother edges.

A smallish pond pump, from B or one of the pet shops should be fine. Actually, just looked at the pack for the redclaw system and the pump is 6000lph water feature pump. It fills the 2 bath tubs in 15 minutes no problems
