I have one of those small pumps so should be able to hook something up. Just need to be a bit careful because the main pump in the fish tank will overrun it very quickly.

Any suggestion for my long term repalcement? This system will stay as is in size IBC fish tank, 2 bath tub grow beds and a wheelie bin sump.

Can you throttle back the main pump temporarily?

Get on to Joel or Monya.... they both sell the Ebara Optima pumps

The"davey"pumps have a really good reputation, definately a whole lot better than that cheap plastic one you initially got.
As Rupe says,,,go with tried and true,,,the BYAPER's should be able to ship "over-night" for just a few dollars extra postage.

I don't because I cook them or eat them fresh!
...and it promotes new growth!

haha. I know. I just got back from 2 weeks holidays  .
The tallest stuff is chinese brocholli, it's the first time I have grown it and was not sure when to pick, I was expecting bigger heads on it so left it but now seems to be flowering, so I have left it too long. Are the leaves eadible on this.

Before I left the pak chow was a little small for eating, but by the time I got back some of it is flowwering ! This is the first crop in the new grow bed (left) everything was planted from seed about 10 weeks ago.I just spread in a whole lot of seeds and let it go, I should of thinned it out because as you can see it goes a bit leggy looking for sunlight.

I am very happy with the system progress. This is all from 12 big silvers (400g-500g) + 15 or so fingerlings 5-10cm each. They are barely eating at the moment but it seems to be enought to keep these greens going.

Going to try and get some tomato's started so, am trying some seeded direct and also have some seeds in a standard seedling tray in soil.
