I used one for a sump for awhile. Just make sure the sides are supported as they will bow out a lot. You might be able to get unbranded storage tubs also from discount places. I have two 36 gallon ones that are used to age top-up water that were bought from a discount overstock-type store (Ollie's in PA).

I like to buy stocking stuffers for XMas in order at Ollie's first, then Value City, then WalMart and usually by then I am done.

yea my GB stand will have 2x4's supporting lip.

this system is going to be sooo basic, but that never stays basic with ap.

i have never came across a discount store like ollie's. the nearest that i can come is
wal-mart.
