Give him a chance Troutman... he hasn't finished eating them yet by the look of it

I gave him 4 minutes, surely he would have wolfed them down in that amount of time.
Intersting about the purging time, I'm thinking I may just use my aquaponics tank as the purging tank rather than having a separate one for the job.

hi all,

i reciently tested my pH and its hovering around 6. went from 8+ to 6 in a month when i added more fish.

can i add dolomite lime directly to the growbeds to raise pH?

or would i be better off adding it the the fish tank first?

any thoughts?

hey all,

not much happening here.

i just received a new pump and boy is it a beauty. sure it cost 2x as much as the resun but by the looks its 4x as good. just look at the size comparison to my resun. can't wait to plump up the next system to see the comparison.

I'm NOT questioning the efficiency or quality of the Tornado ,, but it's rathewr unfair to compare an AC motor against a DC motor . Here's an Apple and here's an Orange ,, which is the best Pear.
DC motors are notoriuosly innefficent , once again I'm not questioning the Tornado , as it's specks look very nice ,, but the price OUCH!!!!

It may be a bit expensive, but I am hoping that it is quieter and more reliable than my cheapy pumps, it is definately more energy efficient. A pump failure when I am away for 2 weeks a time would be bad :(
