I tend toward stem rot like TT above....

Do they have a brownish discolour and appear pinched near the bottom of the stem and grow media?

the stems are all green with no brownish discolour that i know of
but i might lower the flood levels to see if that might be the case.

the stems seem to be missing at side rather then beeing pinched
which made me thought it might me the bugs/slugs but have not spotted
any yet

Folks use composting worms generally. "Red Wrigglers" here, but I think some folks have used a Tiger worm, too(?) Find a friend with a worm bin, or maybe you can order some over the internet.

hi all
back to resuming my aquaponic system since the cold weather is coming soon and i get to grow trout. have not done much to the system yet except move the grow bed to another spot.

so far killed lots of plants but have recently managed to keep some roma toms, caps and thai basil alive.

the problem im facing how is tom leave burning and going all crisp then losing all there leaves. i have them under a i think 60% shade cloth but still burning
any other things i can do to prevent this???

thnx fisho
