FISH
We are the fish, we do all the poop, and turn all our water, into dirty brown soup.

Without some cleaning, or type of filtration, we won’t survive long, and we’ll soon all be dead

PUMP
I am the pump, all shiny and dumb, but when it comes to pumping water, I get the job done.

PLANTS
We are the plants, waiting in the growth media, for the pump to kick in, and send us some feed here.

Oh here it comes, all filthy and gross, come on bacteria, convert it for us.

BACTERIA
We are the bacteria, all tiny and small, we live in the growth media, where we have a ball.

We convert the ammonia, into nitrites and nitrates, so that the plants can use them all up

PLANTS
Yeah here it is, all freshly converted, that dirty fish water, with nutrients to grow just like we orta.

As we all grow, and make lots of produce, we filter and clean the water, ready for fish use.

FISH
Oh yeah they’ve done it, cleaned up our water, so now we’ll be happy, and grow like we orta.

Now here comes ?? ,with our daily fish food, we gobble it down, and so the process goes round and round

Somehow I managed to nominate myself to do the first assembly item for the year so the year 6/7 class are presenting the aquaponics cycle to the rest of the class to help increase knowledge prior to our system being installed and commissioned. Here is what I have so far, some of it does not rhyme and if anyone has some smart changes or additions that they would like to suggest please do. Couple of suggestions, hope they help. FISH We are the fish, we do all the poop, and turn all our water, into dirty brown soup. Without some cleaning, or type of filtration, we will cause our own extermination. PLANTS We are the plants waiting in the grow bed, the pump sends the water so we can be fed here it comes, all filthy and gross, come on bacteria, convert it for us. BACTERIA We're the bacteria all tiny and small, we live in the gravel, where we have a ball, We convert ammonia into nitrate, the plants use it up at a great rate. FISH Oh yeah they’ve done it, cleaned up our water, now we’ll be happy, and grow like we orta. We get our fish food and we gobble it down, the process goes round and around.

W00t This is my edit, I love these things but I don't really have much of a lyrical skill but I thought I'd try to make it even more cooler, been meaning to do something like this for a while. Anyone if you need to, please do go ahead and edit again... Burnsy I love this, please do give us the final copy when you finish with it! FISH We are the fish, we love being fed regularly and swim around in the clean water, we will grow and grow. We also do all the poop, and turn all our water, into dirty brown soup. PIPES I am the pipes, we are in between the tanks, to the pump in the water and outside. We carry and suck dirty brown soup and clean water, to different tanks, at timely intervals. BACTERIA We are the bacteria, all tiny and funky, we live all over the place, where we have a ball. We love eating the ammonia and oxygen, and leave behind the nitrites and nitrates, which make us very rich in nutrients. PLANTS We are the plants, sitting lazily in the gravel, we bask in the sun, minding our own marvel. When the nutrients come trickling in, we gobble them clean out of the water, and grow big and green like we ought-a. PUMP I am the pump, all black and weighing in spades, I use electricity to run my blades. When the time comes I try my might to push the clean water up to the fish tank, and making a huge splash! PIPES, BACTERIA and PUMP We are the system, we will cycle through the year, through the wet and dry, the hot and cold. FISH and PLANTS We eat and grow, eat and grow, but we only last a season for we are eventually eaten! ALL Together, we don't waste a drop of H 2 O, We use less electricity than a kettle, We can support an entire family for free, and as a bonus we even make the meals sugary and spicy! enjoy!

I have combined a few suggestions to form this final draft, It is probably what i will run with as we need to start practice but that doesn't mean that people shouldn't keep posting suggestions that another teacher might be able to use.
