Sounds like a good plan.

With the size, think about it the other way around. What do you want to get from it?

20 trout a year to eat? Koi that look pretty?

What produce do you want to produce?

If you want to be lazy, get an IBC, chop it, put a pump/gravel in, fish and grow. Could make it in a few hours.

The only hurdle I think is moving it around. For year 12 D&T, I made a full size pool table, and that was painful to move around, and unless it's changed in 13 years, it needs to be at school to be judged. AP systems are very heavy, and not really easily moved around.

was thinking of setting it up now to be cycled and iron out the kinks of the system, I am going to be in spain all next year so I technically have another year to do this so if I can get a system working now then I can do a good crop of fish and vegetables by the marking time.

Definitely something that I wish my kids school did. Teach the kids some real skills.
