Looking good. Someday I would like to hear about your falconry. That has been a fascination of mine. Any other APers interested in falconry? |

I understandd lack of time, thats why I never pursued falconry. Although I have been involved with some Raptor rehab. |

so i got my system running today with a 400gph internal pump rated at 5 feet head, and here is my cycle times with a stop watch. sump & GB empty, start to fill sump (start), flush/flood GB at (5m30s), flapper valve closes at (7m35s), GB completely drained at (11m40s), flush/flood at (13m), valve closes at (15m), GB completely drained at 19m10s, flush flood at (20m25s), it looks like its close, maybe some more tweaking. |

Welcome Curt! I just got done watching BBC's Wild China on Netflix, there is the most badass thing I have ever seen on it where they show an old Kazakh guy on a horse who hunts with a golden eagle. Here's a photo thing about them: http://www.time.com/time/photogallery/0 ... 68,00.html |

Curt, Is that a red tail? I rehabbed one injured in a storm. Neat birds. Your ap system looks good on youtube. Dave thanks for the link. Very cool. I will have to see the film too. |

look for hydroponic stores.. you might have better luck finding "expanded shale" i use "river gravel" that i got from a landscaping place.. just make sure that what you use is ph neutral, you can test by placing the media in a cup with vinegar, if it bubbles, it's not good to use, because it will keep your ph high |
