Your setup looks great ~!~
I'm in John's Island, near Charleston, and will give you a shout if I'm in your neck of the woods. I'm working on building my first AP system and would love to see a big one in action !

Thanks!

Closest to you would be Travis Hughey. Faith And Sustainable Technologies, 229 Parker Rd., Andrews, SC 29510. He welcomes visitors and is a wealth of info as well as a local source for tilapia....

You are welcome here anytime, too, but there is not much to show yet... hopefully in the coming months the system will really start producing.

Look forward to meeting you.

I'll be down your way in a week to ten days as I'll be picking up fingerlings from Travis and touring his place... Taking my home-schooled boys as it will be an excellent field trip and will help them catch a vision for the future of our property.

Hi, we're in SC (and we homeschool, just coincidentally) and hoping to get a system started. Would love to connect with others in the area, check places out, etc. Also, we're having trouble finding fingerlings locally--is Travis the best source you've found price and supply wise? What breeds does he have or is it best to just contact him--don't see a fingerling page on his website. Thank you!

Hello all from Lugoff SC. I hope this thread isnt too stale, I'd like to connect with some of my fellow South Carolinians. I am new to AP and would love to futher my education.

I am currently in the middle of a 16 x 20 greenhouse build with the loving support of my wife and other AP inspired friends. Naturally my friends are letting me play guinea pig but what the hell I like adventure.

Up and running in Huger, SC (in the woods north of Charleston). I have a 2 IBC system running on 5 watts of energy to see what can be achieved for very little energy input. Visits are welcome.

Thanks jT,

I am about as far away from you as possible and still be in SC.

I do like the Wilmington area, and visit from time to time.

Don't have a system yet, just getting started. I do have a bunch of IBC totes that from another project that I plan to use.

I'm in Florence SC and looking to get started. Building a 10x12 Greenhouse this fall as soon as I can source the materials.

Anyone know of a decent local source for IBC's?

Post subject:  Re: North Central South Carolina

Right now I'm torn between having the south wall be a 45 degree angle wall and using clear corrugated poly sheets or doing that wall curved in the gothic style and using a double layer of the plastic greenhouse covering. The plastic is cheaper by about $100, but I'm sure the corrugated sheets will last longer.

EDIT: It will look similar to this one http://aes.missouri.edu/swcenter/resear ... nhouse.pdf
