Just curious does anyone know of anyone that has a commercial system and using Tilapia?
I'm thinking of doing a system in Northern CA up north of Sacramento.
If so, I need your advice in optaining the fish and permits.

Thanks

Tilapia in Northern California is a no-no (legally). Nobody sells the fish (at least not over the counter), and let's face it, Tilapia is not a great fish. Yes, it can withstand horrible water conditions, but it requires warm water to thrive which means huge heating bills and in the end, Tilapia is one of the cheapest fish on the market. Why grow a cheap fish? North of sacramento you might be able to do trout year round. Otherwise Bluegill and Catfish are always an option.
