Hi there, I am one of the (still) few Belgian (Dutch speaking) aquaponics lovers. As I get a lot of questions, I started my own Dutch speaking forum on my site: www.aquaponic.be. That's where you can find everything about my system. Of course I don't want any competition with this great forum, and just love all your input! cheers, Val |

Ah.. the old.;. we built a system... and now we're advisors story.... By the way.... there's a difference between "ebb & flow"... and "flood & drain".... I wish people would understand, and get it right... And no.... "deep water technique".... is NOT "also known as NFT".... NFT is a film of water technique.... more an "extremely shallow" water technique.... And DWC.... "deep water culture".... And you've totally misunderstood the basis for stocking density... let alone a "golden rule"... By the way... I think there's another one or two Belgian aquaponics forums... and experts floating around... but t least you've got a system.. with pics.... good luck... |

Bonjorno! Nice to know we do have some people here in Belgium that don't go scratching their heads when they hear the term aquaponics Are the pics of your blog from your system of this year ? If so , how did you manage to catch this much sun (as we didn't get any) One thing => I don't know about you , but I like a good cold beer anytime Cheerz! |

It has been too long since I visited this subject. Sorry for not answering :-) @ jo123: All pics on the blog are more or less 'real time'. Yes, we have a micro-climate, so I did catch sun last year as well :-). You can always come over and have that beer! @RupertofOZ: yeeeeh, I get the point. First of all, you should concider the fact that I English is a foreign language for me, so differences like ebb & flow, flood & drain are probably not so easy to understand; But you can always tell me the difference. I do have the NFT and DWC techniques explained correctly in Dutch :-p And about me: having installed more then 20 systems in BE now, doing a lot of research with university and professional hydro-culture companies, I am more or less a Belgian Aquaponics specialist But more important: Belgium is known to have the best beer in the world, so you are invited to discuss :-) cheerz. |
