Hello, Looking for anyone with experience in AquaPonics in Israel... Have read quite a bit about it and want to start... Does anyone know where i can find relevant IBCs and expanded clay in Israel? What kind of industrial plants would dispose/sell cheep IBCs, being sure they are non toxic? Thnx in advance for any answer. db |

שלום ! Hebrew doesn't really work here I am not from Israel but from Germany, but I might help you with IBC's or at least give you some ideas: Try the Negev near Be'er Sheba there is the desert plant research facility, they used to have IBC's at least when I my professor was there last year and they might sell you some. There are also used in food processing and contain molasses or something like it. So try farmers with cows. There a a lot of fish farms in the Negev as they use brackish water from the ground. They also use it to water plants (Desert Sweet is the brand). So you might get so other fish tanks as well. And there is another person from Israel who joined recently: http://www.backyardaquaponics.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=45&t=12252 Hope I can Help! Perpetuitas |

Born in Netanya but I'm afraid I don't live there anymore. I suppose a good thing is that there are a lot of tilapia fish farms so you can easily get stock? |

Hi db, I am in Israel. I have zero experience. I am totally new. I see that you posted a couple of months ago. Have you made any progress since then? |

I found a jig saw at the hardware store. I need to fin a place that sells PVC now. I feel like the Negev is perfect for this type of project. |

Hi, I have a system running in Bet Shemesh and my friend does too. We are in the process of restocking as they all died in the cold weather 2 weeks ago. Got my IBC at AVCO chemical in BS. They were not used for chemicals and the fish thrived. |
