Thought I would post a few pics of some of the better/more interesting systems I have seen around the state this year.
This one is a pond system in the Perth Nth suburbs, the pond is separated into 4 sections so each species (trout, silver perch, koi and yabbies) has its own part though the same water moves through all sections. The growbeds are raised above the ponds around the edges, some are just growing native plants whilst the ones to the right are also growing veggies.

This one in the Perth Hills is one of the better looking IBC systems I have seen. The 700L tank is at the bottom with two 300L IBC tops as the growbeds. All nicely clad in timber you cant hardly tell there are IBC's under it all.

Like the first one, nice seamless grow bed integration

On a small battleaxe block not far from the centre of Perth is this system made up of BYAP components. There's 3 fish tanks with Koi, Silver Perch and Trout in them and nine growbeds and as can be seen the veggie growth is pretty impressive.

Here's the materials for what is going to be a massive system in the southern outskirts of Perth. Those fish tanks are 20000L each and I'm told the whole system once completed will comprise some 150000L of water. It should be up and running by Spring if everything all goes to plan.

That 9 bed system looks terrific , the plant growth very impressive.
Do you know if it runs as one system or 3 seperate systems ?

The big system has the makings of being amazing. I hope they feel like sharing and create a thread on the build.

And the pond set-up goes to show what can be done to incorporate aquaponics into the backyard

Nice work , thanks Troutman :thumbright:

I'm pretty sure its running as 2 separate systems. The Perch and Koi tanks run the 6 horizontal beds whilst the trout tank (closest to the fence) runs the 3 beds along the fence line.

Sorry Jack but I seem to recall that I left the camera at home that day!!
Maybe if you expand it a bit you might crack a mention next year.
