I'm interested but I've not got a set up system yet. Damn it I get 1 afternoon a week to work on it and sometimes not even that.

I can probably get stuff cheap because I know people who know people, I'll ask about.

Hey all, for info.. this is what could be in the pipeline for the ACT if the drought keeps going as it is. Not saying that this WILL happen, but they are saying that they have a contingency plan that involves this.

http://canberra.yourguide.com.au/detail ... ry=General

I'll post something in the general area about this too.

Hi, I'm in "North Rural Canberra" - just moved into a new property on Monday so my yabbies are in suspended animation (8 Degrees). Planning on building an improved , mostly self-sufficient version of my last set up (across the road) in the next months. Just as soon as I arrange water, power and housing!
Lot's of materials, space - and hopefully the rain will continue for a while yet :-)

Somewhere on my computers - I'll have a dig when I get the power connected (not high on priority list yet). Still finishing the "clearing" stage and about to begin the "construction" side. Chook house comes before mine. Then water, then power :)

No. Hall is a suburb. The area between Pialligo (the airport), Sutton (the pines behind the airport) and Mt Majura (Majura) is known as "North Rural Canberra" Take your pick of postcodes :-) ACTEW use one, Australia Post uses another and Telstra has another. Just moved from the property behind the airport (Malcolm Vale) so I've been through the ritual of head scratching beaurocrats when location and boundaries comes up :-p

Hi all,

Long time viewer - first time posting!

Finally getting it together to build a system...

Are there any Canberran's after some IBC's?

There are a few a couple hours drive from here, and a bulk purchase would make it cheaper!

Let me know!

Cheers

Greg

Going to bump this topic up. Moving to Canberra at the end of the month and will be setting my system up. Anyone around that would join me for a beer? Or want to show off their system?

Bump - new Canberran BYAP member...

Got a small indoor setup (approx 6-8 weeks) and a larger outdoor setup that is currently cycling with 10 Comets.

Dead keen to hook up with some AP locals in my area.

G'day folks,

Brand new to Canberra, brand new to BYAP and brand new to Aquaponics....

Have plenty of experience breeding and growing ornamental fish and now very interested in taking that hobby to the next level with Aquaponics..

Any current Canberreans running an indoor/ outdoor AP system who are happy to show n tell..? (Willing to trade info for beer).

Cunningstunter have you got your system underway yet...?
