Kokapu are still licensed/notified for holders as far as I am aware.
Would love to grow some but they are slow growers from what I know.
Would rather grow some perch or trout given half a chance...
Or move over to a warmer friendlier climate...
Rob :D

This document is dated first published: November 06.
In the ensuing 2 years, does anybody know od any progress? I was unable to google successfully and http://mti.net.nz/research-and-consultancy/research-projects.html didn't really have much to say (less than the article in fact)

Hey there

I'm an Industrial design student from Massey University in Wellington and I'm currently researching aquaponic systems for a design project. Has anyone got any systems set up near Wellington or anywhere in N.Z that I could have a look at? I’m currently setting up a small system in my garage but to have a look at anyone else’s would help alot.

Cheers

Duncan

Hi Duncan,

Sorry the Farm Fountain project is no longer at the Te Papa museum. The exhibition is over, but the project is well documented on our website here: http://www.farmfountain.com And there is a "How-To" section that is illustrated with the steps we used to make our 100 gallon version. It is still up and running here in Columbus Ohio. Here we can raise Tilapia. In Wellington we could only raise goldfish, due to the tight regulations on freshwater fish.

Good luck with your project! I'd love to hear how it goes.

best,

amy
