ok cool ...but after reading a bit more it looks like I'll be buying your little ones when they have grown into the next price bracket :)

turns out after getting my autosiphon to work I now have to wait, do lots of tests, write a lot of stuff down and generally not put fish in yet :)

I'm not so good with waiting

There is a limit to how long I can watch fish emulsion swim around in a tank. :)

are you prospect hill fish farm?

Malcolm and a student from Valley view secondary school did an AQ display at bunnings ttp and told me to get my fish through you, so if you donated their fish or anything, your marketing master plan is working :) and if you didn't .... your marketing master plan is working! :)

Another South Australian here, i have taken way too long but finally have a system up and running in the Bugle Ranges. they are 1/2 way between Mt Barker and Strathalbyn.

Its a small system, 3 fibre glass growbeds with gravel, a sump. and then an IBC for the fish. have had 60 trout in there for about a month now, they are growing ok and last test showed ammonia 0 with some nitrites so seems to be cycling well. the system was seeded with bacteria from tropical fishtank filters and i started cycling with humonia. the plants are just starting to kick off.

i have plans for another larger system using an old rainwater tank and slab tank from an abalone farm. thanks stu for supplying that

does anyone in the adelaide hills area have a bit of duckweed they would be willing to share with me.

must be the tiny real deal duckweed as Im in an area thats a bit sensitive and dont want to introduce the bigger duckweed looking weed thing.

I offer almost nothing in return.

How can you resist?
