If you could get the growbed slightly higher than the ft you could get a cheap pump / filter from the pet store to move the water then just have an overflow valve in the side of the gb to drain back into the ft constant flood style

Ok, I will keep that in mind with my next upgrade or change to the system. I like the Nelson and Pade (aquaponics.com) rule of thumb...one pump per system. Pump up to the grow beds, and gravity feed all the way back to the fish tank.

I planted sprouts in my system to see what seeds sprout, the water feels quite cold in the grow bed, but I suspect it's just fine for sprouting.

I think I already see some bean sprouts coming out of their shell.

Later all,

jeff c

Here is the latest lettuce sprouts update from my system.

I am manually exchanging water with my 10 gallon aquarium once every day or maybe every two days.

Here is a side view of the lettuce sprouts...there is also a tomato sprout in there, and swiss chard, and some spinach, but I can't tell the difference yet.

:headbang:
