I think I'll have to test out using some different things in my barrel system to see about counteracting the pH from the shells and to see how they will affect a few fish. If perhaps having a bucket of pine straw, peat or something else would help pull the pH into an easier range while not hurting the fish would be nice. I fear that most those ideas will tend to turn the water tea colored though.
