| Post subject: | Larvae inside water pipes?? |
Hi all I was inspecting my pump for cleaning today and noticed heaps of these larvae which were in numerous quantities also inside my stand up drain pipe! Could someone identify them as I’m curious to know what they are? Has anyone else found them in their systems? Could they potentially harm the fish if digested? joel identified the pipe larvae as "midge" larvae a few years ago. the adults look like mossies but have no proboscis. they are fine to leave, plus you wont be able to get rid of them anyway. |
