Hey guys just wondering what size slots people have in there SLOs? I have 13mm holes as well as horizontal slots cut with a hand saw. But pulled my outlet manifold apart when I couldn't find the smallest SP fingerling and found him inside. Is there anything I can do to stop them getting inside the SLO? make holes smaller. or place other things in there for them to hide in and hope they leave the slo alone |

Drill even more holes then cable tie some 'gutter guard' mesh round it, that will keep them out. |

You could also temporarily wrap the SLO with a plastic mesh until the fish get large enough they can't get out this way. |

lol of coarse it is anzac! but its never too late to buy new pipe and then have the ability to drill new holes! well there will come a point, but hopefully that is many years away. |

Try to make certain there are no sharp edges. If the pipe is horizontal the fish like to hide underneath it so they're likely to rub against any sharp points. I'd probably put the edges on top of the pipe and fold them over. Not as much of a problem with a vertical pipe but still a good idea. |

Atrium grate. Good flow and fish stopper. Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk |

You must have finer atrium grates than we do. I use them myself but for really young fish the grate is too wide in the ones we have. I had to put mesh on one of mine because I could look down the SLO and see a 1-2 inch bluegill sitting inside the atrium grate at the end of the pipe. |
