The fish tank was built with cement blocks, now I want to waterproof it, but the waterproofing material is a bit dark, so after I would like to paint with white so I can see the fish better... I am thinking to paint with the same paint used to paint swimming pools... Does anyone knows if this is good enough for the fish? Or toxic? Does it alter the PH? I know I will have to keep the water there for a while and then empty it.. and then fill in again... but who knows if it's going to be safe?

Looking forward to your comments...

Thanks
Rita

Thank you,

Well I ended up asking at the store and they said it's ok for the fish. So, I will try and take the risk ;)

Of course anyone can follow in the fb page - https://www.facebook.com/pages/Aquaponi ... page_panel

It's a bit of a waste of money if you're spending more on white. After a few months, it'll all be dark green anyway from bio film.

Just make sure it's a thick paint, too thin and it'll be leaking everywhere.
