how big is the infestation of aphids.? and probably best to ask that question to the people you are getting the lady bugs off. |

I don't know if it's exactly kosher or not, but I added some lady bugs from my soil garden. In pulling some of the laterals off the corn plants growing in the soil, I found MANY of the bugs in the leaves/stems. I simply shook some of them out into the grow bed and a few days later have noticed they're still hanging about. Not exactly an immediate solution if you don't have any corn anywhere but it does seem to attract them in unusually large numbers so maybe one for next year. |

I don't think it takes very many for a small system, they recommend about two ladybugs per square foot of "crop"... but I would also disperse them around the property to establish a "buffer zone" around your system (if I was doing it). |
