Hi guys, im approaching the stage where im having to think about starting my IBC system cycling, i've read about helping the process with some water from a pond or another system.

I have a pond already in the backyard with moving water, some frogs and plants, would this be ok?

I also have a friend with a coy pond (though poorly maintained) that could be another option.

and whether yes or no, how much water should i take?

thanks.
