Try this website. Its very simple...

http://www.myimgs.co.za - register there, log in and click on upload. Once you have uploaded you can go to your images and you will see there is a tab that shows "BB Code" just copy that text and paste it in your post on Backyard Aquaponics and you'll see the image will show. :bigsmurf:

you can use calcium hydroxide aka builder lime.. or potassium hydroxide.. or Calcium carbonates.. potassium carbonates... woodash... and so on.. just add a lil bit and allow it to circular for about 1hr.. retest and add again if didn't reach desired pH..

Noticed a cheap product at Bunnings .. Calcium. CHLORIDE..

its uses as a desiccant. , absorbing moisture in closets etc......

Any bright chemists out there with an idea of how it would go as a calcium source..

Bump..
Actually, I think I asked some time back.. and questioned the risk of using something with the chloride (halide) ion....
Where will it end up.. what chemistry lottery will result and will it just add to the SALT already included or might it end up as a toxic substance..

Still.. if a good chemistry type had a comment... :headbang:

The one point that I noted on wiki, was. a figure for it's effect on RATS. LD50 of 1000mg/kg
But then you moderate that danger by considering. That.. Sodium Chloride has a Suggested LD50 of 3000mg/kg.. :dontknow:
..
