Hello Experts,

I have a new system growing in my apartment with many plants well on their way. I am using LECA grow media and am starting to see slat like crystals appearing on surface of my grow beds.

What is this stuff? Is it harmful? What is it harmful to to? I use tap water to restock my fish tank when it becomes low.

Also I have seen hair like growth which is bright white and kind of looks like spider webbing. I have a feelign that both of these growths are molds of some sort. Would getting a fan blowing my gorw beds reduce these growths and how do I prevent these white growths completely?

My PH, Amonia, Nitrites, and Nitrates are all at safe levels. Please help!!!

If pictures will help, I can get them posted.

Lowering my water did help. It did not eliminate it but it does make a big difference.
