Anyone out there grown figs from cutting to fruit? Love eating them but they do not love our soil - they struggle and fruit poorly.

Thanks

Gday waz. Yes it can be done and they do produce fruit. Hence why they can become a serious weed in wetlands. Have spent a lot of time removing them from Gingin Brook a few years back.

wish i had the room to grow some trees in hydroponics (without pissing off the neighbours) my parents have a fig tree in the front yard growing through the front fence. had a heap of friut that had all dropped off due to not enough water/too many 39deg days. it pretty big considering it grow from seed.

good luck. :)

i want to grow a lemon tree myself. not enough water and a plant will drop fruit to save itself. more mulch/regular watering will get more fruit for "ground" plants.
