FYI for anyone thinking of a commercial system. Being on 'the end of the line' I've been looking for a cheaper back up power supply and these showed up on eBay
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/DIESEL-GENERATOR ... 20ac26755d

They have been selling for around $A1,500 plus freight, which for a 6kva biodiesel compatable generator with auto start, has to be good value - Chinese of course. In essence the generator cuts in after 90seconds if there is a power outage and should have enough grunt to run a whole system depending on design/size. Small price to pay if running max fish stocking densities IMO.

I'll be using one in our commercial system trials and will report back.

West Aussies, check out adds in the Quokka, pretty sure someone is selling something very similar, about the same price, and was imported from China.

I'll be buying one before the end of the financial year ie. within 14 days, so all will be revealed shortly.

Let me know how you get on...
I am thinking seriously about it too now  $1500+ postage is really good.

Probably cost as much or more to get it wired in for automatic switch over.
Although you may be able to do it just to the AP after a plug without breaking too many rules.
