Though ya'll might enjoy this. Its a good overview of a commercial catfish operation. I know Chat Phillips and yes I sorta talk like that.

Its similar to my little operation.

i do wonder how long it will take before for big ol' cargill, tyson,or pilgrims pride to swoop in on it and make it loathsome like they have done to the poultry industry?

i bet ya miss mary can tell every spice used on her restaurant ordered catfish platter hehehe

Johnny, glad you liked it. It is a good summary of US catfish industry. I don't think the big boys are interested yet. Goldkist, of poultry fame, had a big farm and hatchery. They bailed out about 5 years ago. I think there is too much risk in fish culture in its present state for the conglomerates. And, like all things USA, catfish are getting hammered by cheap imports often tainted with substances banned by the US.

well im glad they are not into it yet. they do their own form of tainting imho.

explains why 12 year old boys are 6 feet tall and 235 and the girls look like dolly. growth hormones added to poultry feeds cant be good for us.

those are sure some nice big farming ponds they have in that vid. how bad does hurricane bother you guys?

Thanks for the vid. Their drawl wasn't nearly as thick as my pre-calc professor's. We thought he was picking with us at first. :| He was from somewhere in Alabama.
