Humm.... interesting.....

They say they can't grow basil because they can't purify the water and it comes into contact with the edible leaves.....???

The grow bell peppers as the aquaponic crop by floating raft system.....

Maybe they should expand their aquaponics horizons by joining the forum?:D

Why would the fish water render the basil enedible?

Oh noes I had better stop eating my edible tomatoes lol - Surely you could wash the basil? Normal stuff would be covered in bug spray anyway.

On the basil issue, I'm sure it has to do with local regulations, not common sense.

Some people freak if their food has been anywhere around any type of poo or standing water.. One person I know will not eat aquaponic lettuce because the fish water might be full of e-coli .. Never mind the facts..

That guy in the pictures handling the fish looks like he is scared of fish, LOL

Maybe it's because they include the root ball, rather than just the leaves and stems. If it were just the leaves there wouldn't be contamination in the package.

"They say you’re not a fish farmer until you lose at least 100,000 fish. Fortunately, I’m not a fish farmer yet.”

Umm, isn't it 1 million fish?
