What intrigues me is their vertical growing system - clear plastic sheets with pockets in them, that are moved via conveyor through the greenhouse. This controls the amount of light they get.

I have to admit, one of the things that's been bothering me while I lie in bed at night dreaming of an AP greenhouse is how to use all that vertical space. Trees, strawberry pipes and bamboo, sure, but there's so much vertical space!

Would the energy used to move the conveyor belts be less than the energy wasted by heating the extra vertical space?

There are a couple of pretty cool videos on the site, in both flash and .mov format.

Who wants to contact them and see if we can integrate?

The vertical bags are very much like planted walls which are in some of our plans.

I'm surprised they can all it vertigro, because there is already a verti-gro thing for hydroponic strawberries.
