Sad end to a Spanish dream

Hi
Tickets, passports and Euros? Check. Off to Spain to visit family for early Christmas.
Got a real treat for you. Our neighbor the plumber has just taken over the local Fish Farm. Arranged a visit. He would like a bit of advice. Ok. Five months experience and now I am an international fishery consultant.
About seven years ago the local, regional and national authorities decide to set up a Tilapia farm. The EU chipped in with 50% grant.
The rest is an informed guess; They fell out. The cleaner quit. The equal opportunities/out reach/Health and safety/ representative went on maternity leave.
The fish died.
The money dried up.
Various expensive items of equipment vanished.
Electric microscopes have little resale value.
Why in a purpose built RSA fish farm of approximately 42,000 ltrs would the only water inlet be the tap above the kitchen sink?
Sad.
Except the unpaid plumber holds the license for fingerling production in Southern Spain.
Titus

Best of luck with your consultancy!

I'm sure there are lots of places like that around, I'm sure commercial RAS requires more knowledge than dunking down a few tanks, putting fish in and feeding.

..
The sad thing is that there could not have been a clear commercial application in the first place, OR ... those that started it, only wanted the grants, so as to removed the cream ..
