Dr. Sam Kondo the Geyser Pump guy is involved with this company, apparently they use it in this system.

Sellasystem 101

I am sure they are great folks but it sounds like something most of the experienced members (with systems up and running) could whip up in a weekend. It would be nice to see some pictures.

IMHO :)

Not so sure about this.... wonder if it's actually been tested over a period of time or if it's more like another one jumping on the AP train...

four to eight complete water circulations in each growing tray per day ... humm wonder if that's really enough for 120lb's of fish

Quote:
The number of fish provided for a 6 foot x 8 foot Portable Farms™ is stocked with 100 ‘fingerlings or ‘fry’ (baby fish) of California Hybrid Tilapia, or seasonally, you can substitute catfish. 100 fingerlings will produce 120 pounds (40 kilo) of fish.

44 gallon (160) plastic trash bins for your fish and sediment tanks

100 fingerlings in 44 gallon trash bins...... => 120lbs of fish ?? .... All for only $1,899 US....

Wonder if they know Codi  ..... or perhaps they're an aquaponics shop... watch for a franchise near you soon

A couple of world "reknown" coaches and key-note speakers..... humm....

Well at least they've been around AP long enough to iron out the bugs I guess :cough:

Neat Dave.. You need to up your budget.
Read they take out 10 percent of the fish water a week, bit wasteful there o well.
I don't emagine codi had anything to do with it Rupe, His friend posted that he died in earlie April.
Prove once again we all have an expire date.
If nothing else its another group of folk spreading AP.
Thats all I got to say about that.

So the $1899 is just for the kit that suits a small greenhouse. Not only do you have to buy your own greenhouse (approx $500) but you also have to buy the tanks and extra equipment worth approx $1000. That's starting to look a bit expensive to me?
