Aloha, we are a young group of 9th graders from Mid-Pacific Institute which is located in Honolulu Hawaii. We are making an Aquaponics kit and we would like your support on our endeavors to be successful entrepreneurs. Our goal for this kit is to be able to educate people about sustainability, so instead of a big high scale model, it is just a small table that you place on top of your aquarium. Then watch the system run! Through collaboration we decided that an Aquaponics kit would be the most beneficial way to help raise awareness about the issue of sustainability. Our ultimate goal is to put our idea on Kickstarter and get funded! Thank you for taking time to read this and please get back to us. |

Aloha! I'm a teacher in Australia. I've just started my aquaponics journey also. This is the best site with really helpful people. Have you seen the 'members systems' section? There are some great little systems just like the one your describing. Good luck! P.S. If your interested in sustainability, apparently those plastic blue barrels can't be recycled and they are great for making small aquaponics systems - get them for free from factories i.e. sushi, soy products, vinegar etc |

Hi MapAPs: We often use Google Sketchup which is a free 3D modeling program to help design new stuff and to help communicate our ideas. You might look into downloading that and sketching up the designs you are thinking about and we could maybe help you settle on the best design. |
