Nice job. Wholesale prices are still going to be market based. Find out a steady number of fish over time and draw up a contract with whoever you might be able to supply. Get a bunch of offers and always go with the least hassel.

Only problem I have is we are located in a very small town in north central Texas. Having a hard time finding leads on even a wholesale level.

When you say you're selling them "whole"... are you talking whole iced... or live??

Good Wholesale around here is about $2/lb whole on ice (I've seen it down to $0.90/lb). Try driving into some ethnic areas... We used to have a customer unload 5,000lbs a week just driving through Mexican neighborhoods.

We are selling them live, we are ordering a ice maker unit so we can put on ice soon.

If you intend to sell whole/iced... you might need to check your state licencing requirements... and any cold chain requirements...

In $Aus terms.. that's about $2/kg....

Have you costed what your production costs are per lb/kilo... to grow them to market size??

And are they actually profitable as such?
