So you want to leave the system design out of it, but what do people think about the design?

7m diameter mesh ponds, 1.2m high. Capacity 46000L each... :thumbright:

No concrete, no mucking around, simple cheap quick to erect, way better than a shipping container. :)

Me thinks I should just leave this alone now, it seems that you are more after someone to agree with you, rather than the best advice..

Brilliant design! Mine is similar 55kL but rectangular and 2 m high. We wanted a circular one...

Wow, I guess we will not get over this. Lets say fortys are not right for most people in byap.

Can we move on to the design aspect of the systems? And look at that closely? I think it wise to remind you good people that there is no working comertial systems amounts us. And ask the question is the uvi model the only one that can work? I need critic from people with vision enough to see pass container choice and look at basics, so far the only thing said is don't use containers, like that is the only thing that can brake me.

I built tanks out of bambo stuck in the ground and big rocks and hay from around the site, I know what cheap containers look like, I know the pros and the cons. Lets not lose focus and turn this into something elese, this is about looking at system design could of read 14 wire mesh tank commercial system the design reads the same.

Too bad Steve and aquamad are are not here.

The UVI model is a proven model.. especially in your climate...

But it's not the only model... or even necessarily the best model...

It was just the first really proven, published model.... (still it wasn't actually run as a commercial system)

Yes exactly... the UVI model was not run as a commercial system.. Are they run as successful commercial projects? Can you name some run on UVI model alone?

I suggest you build yourself a system first.. and run it for a year...

Then attend a RAS aquaculture course... or the UVI training... add a hydroponics course as well...

Then think about consulting....

Or fly to India... and join up with Nanniode..

Rupert you are a posting god in my opinion.

I have read the entire thread... Damian, you are convinced it will be viable it seems, so just go ahead and build it and prove it.
