I dont want to be taken as coming off wrong so will explain some of the {what I feel are} low numbers from this system. I will be growing mostly fruiting plants and will have about 1200 SF GB space 75% of this in rock, The system will have around 30,000 L total capacity the numbers I suggested only expects less than $2 SF per month, I totally think its capable of more than this. This is just what I am starting with as have more IBCs coming hopefully. Setup will be hard but after that I truely think one man could handle it. Part of what I am wanting to see to help myself as well as others is to just what size a system would need to be to survive from it. I HEAVILY take into consideration I will be growing a lot of my own food from it and my other projects. I dont know about any where else but here in the good ole USA I truely believe it may be the only way some can learn to earn thier own living when no other jobs are there. Maybe I can help someone else realize you dont have to be HUGE to live from it and its closer within reach than most think now. Thanks for all help.

You've certainly got plenty of filtration and grow bed area for a lot of plants...

I would however echo Charlies post... that more than 100 fish in an IBC... would be too many....

But that's not to say you can't have multiple smaller modules... and I would..... for growth succession, management etc...

I am trying to post my first PICs now but its challenging me more than building the system.

:wave1: Ken and welcome to the forum. I cant help you with research on growing catfish but might be able to shed some light on adding pictures to your post. Firstly you need to reduce the 'size' of pictures to suit webpages (I do that in Office Picture manager) then when you 'post a reply' if you scroll down you will see a tab that reads 'Full Editor'. If you click on this you will be able to add emoticons and below the box where you type you will see a 'browse' tab. Click and find relevant reduced photos. then 'Add File' You can also add comments in the 'File comment' box.
Good luck and I cant wait to SEE your system. :flower:

Thanks Ron & Ruth for the help with the PICs , Its a rainy day here today so I will work on that while I sit and collect rainwater. I really enjoy this site and have gotten Warm welcomes from the moderators but am not sure if I want to continue a catfight over what I am doing. All the info. I need is here and I will find it all eventually. There are a lot of nice people on here so maybe I am in the wrong area. thanks for the welcome,Ken.

:D FINALLY,After several delays with both the building and mostly gettng the fish, I now have 200 channel catfish. Was supposed to recieve 100 4 to 6 inch ones and 100 6 to 8 inch ones but got a jumble of 2 to 10 inches.I will have to size them closer for feeding purposes. :dontknow: : I have had them 24 hours and only 2 losses so far. Was so exited to see them swimming around in thier tanks. I am still having problems with my computer getting pic.s on here but hope to real soon. I am now adding a 2500 gallon tank to my line so wont have to worry about crowding or enough water capacity when I get it online. :D
