Does any one with a backyard aquaponics system have a problem with birds attacking the fish? Or if not any more, how do you ward them off without boarding up the fish tank?
I have quite hungry birds in my backyard!

I had a blue heron clean out the koi in my garden pond a few years ago. never had them go for the tanks though, but ifin they did, I would put a net over it. |

Birds are a major issue in a lot of aquaculture set-ups. Net's above the ponds / tanks is the usual answer ,,,would your neighbours dislike the sound of a shotgun? |

I had Ibis eat 50 Silver Perch fingerlings so I build a hinged cover using pressure pipe and shade cloth. So it has a dual purpose, shade and protection. |
