Good Morning, We are having issues getting our hands on proper foam board without paying two times the cost of the board to ship it here to us in Anguilla. I was wondering if anyone has a make shift way of creating a floating raft system without using foam board? Thanks for your suggestions |

I think there is a way (to get them to you), but how many square feet of raft will you need? |

All you need to do is keep the majority of the board above the water level. So just use plywood, and some rebar to keep it up. Or whatever material is cheap. But you've looked at the insulation areas (companies) for foam? |

thread that Charlie notes is one to read. basically anything that is not going to be affected by being damp, break down by water or UV, or release anything nasty into the water. Stiff plastics etc are fine, as is corflute (the stuff used to make cheap advertising signs). you can put PVC pipe enough to support and float as discussed in the thread. |
