Okay FT IBC Has to stay above ground as does everything else. As in a previous post I grabbed a pallet of foam panels from Adelaide, but haw to mount them around the IBC and then put bamboo blinds around the outside. This is only temporary and hopefully in 12-18 months time moving to our own home where we can bury etc etc. Apart from a nagging wife I'am about to throw the whole idea away. |

Try strapping the foam around the IBC. Then attach the blinds to the foam. http://www.harborfreight.com/400-lb-cap ... 62322.html |

To fix polystyrene sheets to mine I pre-drilled some pilot holes through the sheets into the frame. Then ran a self tapping roofing screw into the holes to cut a thread. After cutting all the threads I had to shorten the screws used to fix it, I'd used them since they had washers to support the sheets. I was planning on gluing them on too but got lazy and also wanted to be able to remove them when the system is eventually moved. Beware puncturing the IBC tank/bladder when drilling though. |
